As director, Thomas Brown is responsible for underwriting, capital deployment and investment oversight. He actively collaborates with business owners of portfolio companies, offering insights into key trends and key performance indicators on a quarterly basis. Thomas provides additional analytical support to enhance profitability. He is also tasked with preparing and presenting a quarterly reporting package for fund lenders and the investment committee, in addition to overseeing compliance with loan covenants where applicable.

Before assuming his current role, Thomas was the president at Mosaic Management. Under his leadership, the company expanded its franchise portfolio from 13 restaurants in Tampa Bay, Florida, to 43 restaurants, employing 850 staff across Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia. His prior experience includes a significant tenure with Gray Matters Capital, an impact investing firm focused on deploying capital in emerging markets. In this role, he played a key role in disbursing low-interest-rate loans to businesses and educational institutions in India and Kenya. Thomas also developed his expertise in the asset-based lending department at SunTrust Bank.

Thomas graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and then proceeded to earn an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
